Why is my arm bruised after having a chinese massage?

I injured my upper bicep/shoulder swimming and then had the massage on the injury. Now I have about five coin-sized bruises on my shoulder.

3. Could the bruises have come from the injury? A massage normally doesn't result in any type of bruises. So either it was caused by something else, or you bruise easily.
